“Ask anything.” As you begin typing, the noise starts quietly. Hum, tap, snap. Hum, tap, snap. Hum, tap, snap. Your desire to learn more grows as you engage with ChatGPT, the more it gives you the answers that it thinks you want, all available to you at your fingertips. You enter the space as a piece of data that inflates as the software learns from you, always making sure to ask for your input to the responses it provides. The noise starts to get a little louder. Hum, tap, snap. Hum, tap, snap. Hum, tap, snap. The image of who it thinks you are becomes distorted as you are molded into an image by the machine. It begins to create its own versions of information in an attempt to quickly contribute to the large amounts of digital noise. The noises become so loud, each one begging for your attention until you cannot bear to stand it anymore as they begin to morph into one continuous entity. Hum, tap, snap. Snap, hum, tap. Hum, hum, hum.
